How to choose the right influencers
A decision framework for evaluating creator relevance, credibility, audience fit, content quality, safety and operational readiness.
1. Define the creator’s job
Before searching names, describe the role: cultural introducer, category educator, product demonstrator, trusted reviewer, entertainer or conversion partner.
2. Check audience reality
Review geography, language, age, interests and the quality of interaction. Look for conversation that demonstrates attention—not just a headline engagement rate.
- Audience geography matches the activated market
- Language and cultural codes feel natural
- Comment quality supports real community relevance
3. Evaluate creative fit
Study how the creator opens stories, explains products and holds attention. A strong organic style should survive the addition of a brand message.
4. Review credibility and safety
Assess previous partnerships, category conflicts, disclosure habits, public conduct and any regulated claims. Document the rationale and escalation path.
5. Confirm delivery readiness
Validate availability, usage rights, production needs, approval timing, exclusivity and reporting access before final confirmation.
Cast for a defined role, then validate audience, creativity, credibility and delivery—not popularity alone.
